Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 33 mm, 23.42 g, 5 h), Rome, 118. IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. PONT MAX TR POT COS II / ANNONA AVG Annona standing front, head to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to left, modius containing grain ears; to right, prow of galley to right. BMC 1126. Cohen 178. RIC II, 3, 160. An attractive coin with a lovely green patina and beautiful early portrait. Patina flaking in a few spots on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
